My philosophy focus around many things. I prefer local, organic and seasonal food. I believe that attention should be paid to all aspects of your meal, from how its grown,to how its prepared, to how you eat it.

Did you know? it take 2,500 galons of water to create 1 lb of beef? If everyone in the USA stopped eating beef one day a week, we could save the same amount of water that runs over Niagara falls in 5 Days!

Welcome to my little Blog. Here we will talk about food, swap recipies and learn all about making magic in the kitchen. In the posts to come I hope to introduce you to a new way to think about food, where it comes from, where it goes and everything you can do with it in between.

Today I would like to recommend a brief foray to another blog here on the blogspot called Mindful Eating. There are only 6 posts, but the author does a great job at setting the stage for what I hope to accomplish here. Cooking is only one part of making magic in the kitchen, how we approach the task, the types of ingredients and thier sourses, the steps we take and the intentions we hold all play a major role in creating a meal that can satisfy our bodies, our minds and our souls
